Seema N. Patel is the Program Manager for Fuels for the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, an initiative under the United Nations Foundation (UNF). Seema manages all fuel-related activities at the Alliance including intervention design, impact analyses, tool development, policy engagement, capacity building for cooking fuel enterprises, and coordination with fuel partners. Prior to UNF, she led a team of management consultants at BCS, Incorporated to design, implement, evaluate and communicate the R&D efforts of the U.S. Department of Energy Bioenergy Technologies Office. She has over 13 years of experience supporting domestic and international programs related to environment, clean energy and sustainable entrepreneurship including work at UNEP Nairobi, World Resources Institute, and the Mentor Capital Network. She has also taught English to the Tibetan community in Dharamshala, India. Seema holds an M.A. in International Relations and Environmental Policy from Boston University and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Loyola University Chicago.
