The annual Global South-South Development Expo (GSSD Expo), will take place at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 28 to 30 November, 2018. Organized by the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) in collaboration with United Nations agencies and other partners, the GSSD Expo will strategically engage all development actors, including the private sector, civil society, academic and philanthropic organizations, to scale up concrete Southern-grown initiatives to help achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The Clean Cooking Alliance and Alliance partners Climate & Clean Air Coalition, North Carolina State University, and Mountain Air Engineering will examine the results of two research studies commissioned by the Clean Cooking Alliance and funded by the Climate & Clean Air Coalition to understand the in-field black carbon emissions from liquid, gas, and high-performing biomass stoves.

The two-day Workshop on Household Energy Impact Evaluation (WHEIE) aims to accelerate transitions toward cleaner household energy systems by providing targeted, specific training on policy-oriented impact evaluation research designs. This training will bridge a current gap in the household sector between small-scale, investigator-led intervention studies, and large-scale policies and programs in low- and middle- income countries (LMIC) that often lack strong monitoring and evaluation components.
